It's all about the Bling
Body piercings are nothing new. They have been around for as long as man has existed signifying status or accomplishments.
Today they are a symbol of expression and personality. Location is no longer the subject of these piercings. If you think about it, everything has been done. There are only so many places a person can put a piercing or plug into.
So now in order to make one stand out and unique with the piercings, it is all about the bling.
Jewelry comes in many different sizes, colors and flavors. It is a far cry from the cheap steel and wood used just decades ago. Gold, silver and titanium now adorn many bodies with precious stones such as diamonds, rubies and emeralds.
As the upper tiers of society request custom jewelry to set themselves apart, the market has grown to adapt for the masses.
Just remember, like all fashion, trends change and it is important to start part of the fast trending times, but also be quick to make a new look when it is required.

Who wouldn't want one of these guys tattooed across their chest!
It seams an artist in Massachusetts was arrested for placing a tattoo on a teen. To make matters worse, it was misspelled across the chest of the teen.
Apparently a 16 year old teen wanted juggallo placed across his chest in order to be a badass. Instead he got the name of one of the Insane Clown Posse’s member on his chest instead Juggalo.
A simple case of drunk tattoo artist and desperate teen gone wrong.
It seems that George Doyle tattooed the wrong letters across the teen’s chest. When the teen refused to pay him for the mistake, Doyle pursued and allegedly threatened him. A school official found out and reported the illegal tattoo to the police.
Doyle was arrested soon after for placing a tattoo on a minor and assault and battery.
Just goes to show you that it is better to wait for a qualified artist that will legally put a tattoo on you then a hack job. That is a lesson that teen will live with the rest of his life.

Replace your medical bracelet with a tattoo
You have seen medical bracelets everywhere. Some tell you about the allergies a person has while others could highlight their diabetic condition.
Whatever the reason many people wear bracelets in order to let medical professionals know important medical details about themselves in case they are unable to let them know while unconscious. Details could range from rare blood types to common food allergies.
Problems can arise when one forgets to put that bracelet or necklace on, or when the informational jewelry gets lost and while doing an activity. It could be that moment when an individual needs it most, that they do no have it.
A solution to the problem that some are doing is a medical tattoo. The health issues that people wear bracelets for are usually life-long, so it is easy to understand why someone would get it tattooed to their body.
The person won’t lose it, and it will never wash off. There are a few important things to note when getting a medical tattoo.
The first is placement. You would want to put it where medical professionals can easily see it. If they can’t find it easily, than you might as well not have it.
The next is readability. They gotta be able to understand what it says and means. If you get it too small, people who need to know, wont even recognize it as your medical conditions.
Though your medical history does not need to be on your tattoo, it would help for a doctor to know that you could be allergic to penicillin before he prescribes that as treatment.
If you have a medical condition where you do wear a bracelet or necklace, you may want to consider a tattoo. You never have to worry about losing it or replacing it when it gets worn out.

It can be hard for girls to come up with great tattoo designs. Is it going to be something personal? Is it going to be girly? Maybe a little manly? Is it going to be colorful? All of these have to be taken into considering before you find yourself in the chair and crank up the needle. So before you commit to a tattoo, here are a few great tattoo designs for girls that you may have been overlooked.
The first one is not so much a design, but rather a location. Behind the ear can be a nice location for girls if it is done right. Obviously it is a small, so the tattoo must reflect that. And depending on your hairstyle it is going to be relatively exposed, so you want to make sure it is something that you are fine with the world seeing. In this area I would suggest a design that more of a circular design. And I would not make it too much bigger than your ear. This way people know it is there, but you have control over whether or not people see it in all its glory or not.
Another idea that is really popular today are quotes. Quotes, especially famous ones or ones that mean something to you on a more personal level are always cute tattoo designs for girls. Whether it be something inspirational or something you just like reading, now you can take it anywhere you go. And depending on the location of the tattoo, they can serve as words of wisdom to anyone who gets a chance to read them.
Band logos and names are becoming a very popular tattoo option as well. Most bands these days, and even bands from past generations, have logos that people often get tattooed. A few of the more popular ones I have seen are The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, HIM, and Alkaline Trio. This is a cool way to show people the kind of person you by your taste in music. And on a cool side note, a lot of bands encourage their fans to send pictures of their band inspired tattoos and often times post them on their websites. So not only do you get a cool tattoo, but it could potentially be put on the internet for everyone to see.
Also make sure you are doing your research before you commit to getting any kind of tattoo. It is a life long commitment and one you should never regret or a decision you make in the heat of the moment.

You’re in the seat of the parlor getting your next tattoo. The design is looking just like he said it would. And now as you see it, you realize that you made the right choice.
You have decided to become artwork on a canvas that gets worse and worse over time.
Indeed, people often view body art as the domain of the young, the terrain of the artsy, urban and dangerous. The previous views are getting a tattoo meant that you were probably young or dangerous. Those perceptions are no longer valid because people of all ages, races, classes and sex are getting tattoos to express themselves more than ever before. According to the Food and Drug Administration, almost 50 million individuals have at least one tattoo on their body. It’s unlikely that you will see a great deal of tattoos at the senior living centers, but you will start to see older generations accepting the form of artwork that has finally shed its negative perception.
The issue is not the quality or work or the technology being used anymore. It has to do with the skin and the elements that may affect the skins appearance including the ever killer sun. But most are accepting that knowingly they are accepting something that will change over their lifetime as they do. But going into it makes many realize that tattoos may not look so great in saggy or wrinkled skin in future years, it represents a story and a time that is almost like a battle scar. Most individuals though hope that it does no end up looking so bad that they regret it.
There are those who like the fading and changing of the tattoo on their body. The tattoo is more of their being, like a finger or toe rather than just some ink on a piece of paper. They enjoy the fact that the tattoo changes in form as they do. Besides, no one can stop time unless the fountain of youth is discovered.
Most people go to a tattoo studio after much thought and realize the permanent nature of the tattoo, but also sometime there are regrets. Whether it was a bad design or an inexperienced artist, these regrets have caused the tattoo removal business to be the next big thing. People don’t realize that it doesn’t happen over night and most time it isn’t all gone. The removal process can take up to a year depending on the treatment, size and location of the tattoo. Those people must really dislike it so much to even think about having it removed because it is not cheap.
Just know that tattoos are permanent; they just won’t always look the way they did that first year.

Navel piercing
Teens are looking for ways to get their piercings even though in some states they are not legal without parental consent. This leaves them open for risk of infections and potential scars. Most kids will just fake the signature of a parent to get their nose or tongue pierced.
These new regulations prevent teens from getting anything pierced in a “sensitive private” area if they are under the age of eighteen years. But the laws also prevent teens from getting any type of body piercings unless their parents consent. People and studios can face a hefty fine and even jail time if they break the new laws.
But as anything else, when teens are told no, they will find a way. So instead, the teens try to do it themselves using items like safety pins and tacks. And sterility is probably not their top priority either. This has lead to a high rate of botched body piercings.
Parents are bringing their children in to remove unwanted or infected body piercings to medical facilities or piercing shops. Incidents are at least double what they were before the laws were implemented. Many kids buy kits off the internet, watch some youtube videos and perform the procedure on themselves. They think they are self-taught experts and eventually find out that something goes horribly wrong afterwards.
Parents should dictate their children’s motive even though this could be a tough task. Regulations should not take place of parental guidance. It is ignorant to think that a law would prevent the wants of teens. Not only that, police have other crimes to pursue than to go after piercers who are just trying to prevent children from horribly injuring themselves. These laws have only pushed the practice underground and is making things worse.
They should just move to educate teens to the dangers of piercing, and the parents are to be there to teach them the right and wrongs of each family’s belief. After that it is up to the family to enforce, and not the police. Parents need to step up.
I recently heard news that another tattoo parlor is getting sued a second time for misspelling someone’s tattoo. This leads me in the utmost important thing before you get that next great tatto. Make 150% sure that if you are getting lettering tattooed on you, make sure it is the way you want it and SPELLED correctly. The worst possible thing that could happen is that you walk away with a misspelled tattoo and there literally isn’t any correcting it without lots of pain or lots of moeny.
An artist at Northwest Side parlor is getting sued for messing up the word “tomorrow” on a person if you can believe it. Instead, the customer got the word “Tommorrow” tattooed on him, which when the tattoo artist realized what he had done, he tried cover it with some clouds. The middle of last year the same parlor was sued for the misspelling of “Chi-Town” which the customer received the word “Chi-Tonw”.
So people just let me exaggerate the importance of making sure that your artists know what you want and has it spelled correctly. First, write down the saying or word that you are going to get tattooed yourself. A considerable amount of tattoo shops will copy the tattoo design that you designed on copy paper and then apply the design to your skin. This is usually very similarly to those temporary tattoos we all had when we were kids. If the artist just simply follows the design everything should come out just the way that you pictured it. If the tattoo artist tries to do this free hand I would triple check with them that they know exactly what you want and understand how to spell it.
